Vision has been turned into reality when the Bridgeton Community Learning Campus was officially opened by The Leader of the Council, Councillor Steven Purcell on 18th August 2006. This project is an exciting and dynamic community initiative which has developed through a determination and a commitment from the local community realising the potential to achieve more for their area. Building on work already done by local community groups, organisations and agencies were brought on board to work alongside and in partnership with the community to pull resources and knowledge and build the dream of the Learning Campus. Working together are FAB, the Bridgeton Community Centre, PEEP’s, John Wheatley College, the Social Inclusion Partnership, East End Partnership, Glasgow City Council, Greater Glasgow NHS Heath Board and Thenew Housing Association. |
